National Breast Cancer Foundation - Our Story

Boehm Intimates is incredibly proud of their partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public.
In total, since 1994, NBCF has awarded over $162 million to 514 breast cancer research projects across the country. We’ve seen remarkable results, but the job’s not done.
Their determined goal is to achieve zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

BOEHM INTIMATES breast cancer story:

My name is Tessa Boehm, I am the founder and managing director of Boehm Intimates a label that was created by me from absolute scratch. When I think of a strong empowering woman - I think of my mother.

Unfortunately my mother passed away with breast cancer in 2012, she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 when she found a lump in her breast.

She put up a strong fight for 5 years, we had a roller coaster ride of emotional ups and downs throughout her journey. At times when she was told she may only have weeks to live she turned those weeks into years. I personally feel this was due to her strong mind and her power of not wanting to give up.

Donating to the NBCF will not bring my mother back, but it will provide research to prevent others from the hurt of losing their loved ones & if they stick to their goal of no deaths by 2030 how incredible will that be.

Boehm Intimates was launched on her birthday on the 5th year anniversary of her passing on the 5th of the 5th 2017.

As an emerging brand we have big plans for the label & one of them is to create a large sleepwear range with our contribution to NBCF.

I want to thank everyone for their support so far, words cannot describe how important this is to me.
